Morning Everyone!
Today’s note is a quick one about gratitude. At FCL, we fall victim to the hustle of the year — always working on the next thing and spending time trying to make sure we can deliver great products and services to our families.
The holidays are a great built-in reset to take a deep breath and not take this for granted.
We say it often in these emails, but we genuinely appreciate all of the families, coaches, parents and players that support and trust us. We are so lucky to be building a business doing what we absolutely love.
Let’s get into it. Happy Friday ☕️,
Matt & Deemer

⭐️ Weekly Thought: Gratitude
Today’s thought is a quick one on gratitude. It’s suitable for this time of year as we get a chance to pull up from what can feel like a non-stop marathon of activities and demands.
Gratitude is a mindset we try to take on ourselves. We have learned that, like many things, it is a practice. We all catch ourselves complaining or not being grateful for our circumstances at times. But we can reframe almost any situation through the lens of gratitude.
I like this quote that Ryan Holiday cites in his blog from Marcus Aurelius’ Meditations:
“Convince yourself that everything is the gift of the gods, that things are good and always will be.”
The phrase “convince yourself” just reminds us that we have the power to control how we perceive events. We cannot control everything that happens to us, but we can control our response and what we make of the events. These become great opportunities to practice gratitude… and it isn’t always easy.
We’ll leave you with one final quote from a blog on the Daily Disciple that sums up some interesting thoughts on the topic:
Call it whatever you want: luck, chance, fortune, fate, or timing. It swings both directions. Helping you one moment, opposing you the next. With you awhile, until it’s against you. Don’t replace gratitude in good times with bitterness in bad times.
You decide the most important qualities of how you live whether or not luck is on your side. To be grateful only when you’re successful is to find yourself bankrupt when fortune favors someone else or when the winds of chance push you into a dark storm.
Embrace the chase. Do the work.
We appreciate our families, coaches, teams and all the people that have been part of our journey. We hope you’ve had a wonderful Thanksgiving and get to enjoy the weekend!

Harrison Tyler | Attack | Lawrenceville School | 2028
Tyler is a high IQ player with the athleticism to capitalize offensively. He does a great job catching the ball running into a dodge and was able to generate not only goals, but assists through his pace of play. He plays with his head up as a ball-carrier and does not force it. He has great COD, particularly at X as Tyler was able to beat short-sticks and challenge poles. Expect to hear his name more and more going forward.
Thomas Regan | Midfield | Taft | 2028
Regan has a big frame and is well built. He uses his size as a primarily downhill dodger, and he has a good lefty shot on the run. As he works to improve his right hand, Regan will become difficult to cover. He also notably played more of a two-way role, utilizing his strength to push out dodgers on defense. He is a player with a ton of upside.
Steve Panagopoulos | Defense | Lawrenceville School | 2028
Panagopoulos comes from a lacrosse family and it shows in how he plays. He has good off-ball IQ, he understands the secondary rotations after a slide and has good slide timing. He has a solid frame, good motor, and he moves well on ball. He will play out in space and showed ability to disrupt offenses on multiple occasions. One of my favorite aspects of his game is how quickly he reacts to the situation.
